A no-nonsense approach to do it yourself numerology.

We will be using the Pythagoras System, the most accurate and oldest form of numerology. It is likely you will find this extremely accurate.


A bit about Pythagoras:

Pythagoras was born on the island of Samos, in the 6th century BC. Little is known about the early part of his life. He traveled extensively throughout Southern Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East and probably lived and studied for some time in Egypt. He later established a school on Kroton, in Southern Italy, where he taught Mathematics, Astronomy, and Music.

As a teacher, he was respected and feared. Many people considered him dangerous. In an attempt to safeguard his school, his students were sworn to secrecy and were not allowed to write anything down.

Certainly, he is held in the highest regard as one of the preeminent mathematicians of all time. However, it was his passion for learning, for truth, and for the discovery of grace and harmony in all aspects of life that sets him apart from other philosophers

It is believed that Pythagoras lived to be almost a hundred years old. He died when his school was attacked and burned to the ground.


Calculating Numbers

Although the calculation method is relatively simple, a matter of adding or subtracting single, and multi-digit numbers, numerology is based on a complex cosmic network of interconnecting patterns cycles and vibrations.  It is in recognizing these patterns, that we are able to predict events and influences when certain conditions are met.

NOTE:
When we talk about "reducing a number to a single-digit," we mean adding each of the digits until a single-digit is left. For example, we reduce the number 283 by adding 2 + 8 + 4 = 14. Next, we add 1 + 4 = 5. So this means the that We have brought (or reduced) the number 283 to the single-digit number 5.
Also, in many areas of your chart, Master numbers are not reduced during the calculations. For example, to reduce the year 1966 to a single digit, we add 1+9+6+6=22. Twenty-two is a Master number, therefore, we do not reduce 22 any further.
Many numerologists will write 22/4, because the 22 is also a 4. This is purely a matter of personal preference.


Practical Application:
Common sense and logic play an important roll in numerology. For instance, if you think that January would be represented by number ONE you would be correct, just as you would be correct to assume December would be 12.

So therefore my name Michael Thiessen would calculate out like this:
M=4 I=9 C=3 H=8 A=1 E=5 L=3
 4+9+3+8+1+5+3=33 3+3 =6 So the number for Michael is 6
T=2 H=8 I=9 E=5 S=1 S=1 E=5 N=5
2+8+9+5+1+1+5+5=36 3+6=9 The number for Thiessen is 9
This would mean the number for Michael Thiessen is 6+9=15 1+5=6
